It was 11 minutes to midnight and Big Ben Clock Tower chimes’was heard from yonder; shortly accompanied by claps of thunder and lightning (thanks to special sound effects!) at the Centre Court of Mid Valley Mega Mall on a spectacular Thursday evening. Mr Dennis Lau, renowned violinist took the centre stage by storm as he strung up a melancholy and and enchanting tune to set the mood of Gotham City of mystery and darkness, the fashion show theme of the night.
The show began. With a flash of light, the shadow boxes on the centre stage lit up to ingeniously spelt the alphabet: X I X I L I formed by a beautiful silhouette of XIXILI models behind the white screen of the shadow bozes. The crowd gasped in awe! Of all the sudden, the air became thicker and the stage was eloped in mystical fog. Yes, the night in Gotham has begun. In the twilight, XIXILI models emerged. O’ beautiful stunning temptresses strutted the runway in fabulous XIXILI lingerie collections from the past decade! The haunting of Gotham continued, tickling the mind, imagination and senses of the audiences. In the final rounds, sweet enchantresses emerged clothed in XIXILI Spring / Summer 2014 collections, giving the audiences a quick sneak preview of what’s to come from XIXILI. Indeed! It was an extraordinary evening and treat for the guests and on- looking spectators that were witnessing XIXILI 10th year anniversary celebration.
About XIXILI 10th Year Anniversary Celebration & Fashion Show

During the daytime, XIXILI hosted a bra art exhibition at the centre court of the mall. A total of 20 stunning lingerie collections from past decade were artistically depicted in large poster frames in the form of a walk-through art gallery. Patrons of the mall were also invited to participate in a contest to identify the name of the collection and year of debut; to win free giveaways and stand a chance to grab exciting prizes from various XIXILI sponsors.
As the afternoon drew to an end, the stage was set for the XIXILI A Night in Gotham private party. Guests started streaming as soon as the registration doors were opened, and the crowd grew, each invited guest was invited to a copy of the XIXILIAN Times newspaper for their reading pleasure as they immersed themselves into the Gotham atmosphere.
Prelude to the evening’s fashion show, just as the audiences were expecting a parade of models in lingerie, a small surprise prank was played on the audience instead; male model Matt strutted out with a XIXILI birthday cake! To the audiences’ amusement, Matt and Ms Nadia Heng, former Ms Malaysia World, lead the audience to sing a happy birthday song in tribute of XIXILI’s 10th year anniversary celebration.
A theatrical fashion show and marvelously orchestrated. It would not been possible without great make-up and hair-do that complete the models’ transformation as the cast of light and colours against Gotham City’s sinister stage setting. Fantastic make-up was by Shu Uemura and hair-do by Number76 Hair Salon, the official partners of the show.
Towards the end of the show, fabulous prizes were given away in a ‘call-me’ now quiz where the grand prize, sponsored by OREX Travel, was a 3 days / 2 nights get-away to Phuket, Thailand. Random guests from the floor received a special phone call to come onto the stage to answer simple questions prior to receiving the prizes.
Other spectacular prizes giveaways were Hard Rock Hotel Penang stays, Brazilian wax and IPL treatments from Strip KL, Amaze Model professional potrait shoot packages, relaxing facial spas from Body Perfect, limited edition hydration kit from Murad, Arimino and Berrywell professional s alon hair care products. In goodies bags, DiGi, Juiceworks, Hijabista magazine and MyBrainLab also contributed generous goodies to all guests during the farewells.
