We would always recommend that you handwash your lingerie items. But of course, sometimes we can't always make this happen, so we have a wash guide below for both methods!
Sheer lacy bras, embellished bras, gel-padded bras, and preferably underwired bras should really be handwashed only!
Sports bras, bralettes, wireless cotton or synthetic fabric bras can be machine washed in a mesh delicates wash bag.
Hand Wash
Fill up a sink or basin with warm water to soak your lingerie items
Add in an appropriate amount of your lingerie wash or delicates detergent, and let the items soak for 10-15 minutes
Gently rub any part of the bra that touches your body for a deeper wash
Drain the sink and refill with clean water
Let soak for another 5 minutes
To dry, lightly squeeze the garment (do not wring!) and lay flat or hang to dry. To speed up the drying process, layer into a dry towel and roll it up whilst pressing softly to ease off some of the water
Machine Wash
When machine washing bras, make sure to clasp the hook and eyes to prevent snagging
Load bras and and panties into separate delicates mesh bags and separate wash by colour
Select the gentle or delicates cycle and cold water setting. Add a mild lingerie wash
After the cycle is complete, remove the bras from the bag, reshape the cups and hang them to air-dry or lay flat. Allow any pads or cookies to dry separately and reinsert only once the bra and pads are completely dry
Please do not ever put your bras into a dryer!
Pretreat stains
When necessary, you may pretreat stains for a more effective clean before putting through a hand wash or machine wash. Simply add a few drops of a mild detergent directly on the stain and gently rub it into the stained area with your fingers. Allow the detergent to sit for about 15 minutes before washing the garment.
