Cancer Research Malaysia is the only non-profit organisation in Malaysia dedicated to saving lives through research to find better ways of preventing and curing cancers, focusing on Asians. Asians make up nearly 60% of the cancer deaths globally, but unfortunately, less than 10% of the research.  Researchers in Cancer Research Malaysia have used the power of genetics and genomics to develop new cancer prevention and treatment methods and their priority is to save lives by ensuring that Asians are not left out in the fight against cancer. 

Since 2001, Cancer Research Malaysia has led large scale global studies on breast cancer in Asians, including the development of a tool to help Asian women understand more about genetic tests for cancer prevention and treatment, and new methods to choose targeted therapy for Asian breast cancer patients. All of this is possible because of donations from the public and from corporations.
